G scale sized traffic light.....£3!!!!

Spotted in my local branch of 'Tiger', a battery operated traffic light for £3..batteries included! G scale sized....handy for conversion to a railway signal head..

There's also an online shop. This shop sells 'fun' items that you don't really need to live, scented candles, phone cases, place mats, and nick nacks. Their range constantly changes, so if you want/need some....I would advise purchasing sooner rather than later...

Out of the box it stands some 120mm high on a circular base with 2 very small batteries ( hearing aid type? ) fited to the back of the signal head. Pressing the button on the top gives a sequence:
Red/Amber/Green/Flashing green/Amber/Red which 12 seconds before it repeats.

Obviously not much use for trains, but as a stand alone pedestrian road crossing ok. Inside there's a small circuit board with one eight legged chip....

For just the signal head it's probably worth £3..complete with a circuit board to drive leds...just like inside a loco cab! The LGB GE4/4 has something similar...
The short mast section is hollow, suitable for wires!

The coloured bezels are nicely done..but the wrong way for the UK railways. The red light should be at the bottom.
