Garter Blue A4 waits for the road

In my opinion the A4s looked good in all the liveries that they carried.
I wished that I had seen the blue coronation with it's silver lettering leaving Kings Cross however. Surely the ultimate 'train spot'
Have to make do with the teaks on the video

Some say the only good thing Thompson did was take the valences off the A4's!

I suppose the K1's were OK though.

I have heard it rumoured that locomotives, such as the blue one pictured, once ran on British metals north of Potters Bar - but can't confirm the fact.
