Gauge 1 North 2020 will be held on Saturday 18th July at Bakewell Agricultural Business Centre, Bakewell, Derbyshire, DE45 1AH. Main focus is on 1/30.5 (10mm scale) and 1/32 scale standard gauge on 45mm gauge track, both live steam and battery electric, manual and radio control operation. This exhibition is organised and run by the Gauge 1 Yorkshire Group and will feature layout, competitions, demonstrations and traders.
Live steam and battery electric operation will be on the Ridings 60' x 30' layout constructed by group members featuring a 4 track mainline with additional modules including an engine shed scene, goods yards and working tippler on a dockside scene. Many buildings are 3D printed. Traders will be selling kits and parts for live steam, battery electric locos as well as buildings, coaches, goods stock, track etc.
Some of the traders present provide for other garden scales as well as standard gauge 1.
The Bakewell Centre has good car parking, a café on site and is only a few minutes walk from Bakewell town centre for any family members who would not wish to attend the exhibition.
