Hi Folks, Had a great day out at the Great Central Railway Model Event on Sunday. Here is a little video of some of our locos along with other locos on the G Scale and 16mm layouts. Look out for the railway rat!

I wish my Roundhouse locos could pull 33 wagons. Did that Roundhouse Billy manage to start the 33 wagons from rest or was it pushed?

Very well shot video with excellent editing. If only you didn't have the music all the way through. The music needs to fade in and out at appropriate places so that the viewer can enjoy the railway sounds and sense the atmosphere.

Superb! Wish I'd been there! Thanks for posting - I was wondering what the event was like.

Mick, the video showed only what was in the marquee at Loughborough, the larger marquee at Qourn held far more layouts of differing scales and the marquee at Rothley held the model engineering exhibits and a gauge 3 layout. The permanent garden railway is also situated at Rothley.

Hi Peter, Thanks for the post and glad you liked the video and editing. It was a great day and lots of fun to film and put together. You are right about the music...I must stop listening to Classic FM... it gets in your head!

Hi, Thanks for the post and glad you liked the video. As Paul has said, this was only the G Scale and 16mm layout at Loughborough. The whole event is huge and there were many more layouts and displays at the other stations. A great day out and we shall hopefully be there again next year!

Thanks Paul, I wasn't aware! I wonder if anybody from the Forum took any pics?

Just a few distant pics of the CFR taken from a Train. Make a change from the close ups taken by Casey. By the way he is in one of these at close up/packing up time with a Yellow Crate. Pics do show the superb GCR Green that the CFR Sheds are painted and the Superb Castles.
