Just can't seem to find any 1:20.3 figures for my loco's and stock at the moment so i thought i might have ago at modelling some of my own .
After seeing the great work that Tony had made with his figures and seeing them in person at Mikes openday last year i went ahead and brought some flesh coloured Super Sculpey polymer oven bake clay , begain by making a wire armature that would fit in the cab the clay was then moulded round the wire and shaped to look like engine crew using a knife and wooden cocktail sticks these were then baked in the oven for 15 mins . After cooling down they were ready to paint the paint really bought them to life . Heres a few pic's of the finished crew that will ride in my Live steam K-27 had to remove one of the legs from the engineer due to the reverser lever .
My wife Sara said how nice they looked and said do you think you can make a model of my Miaow boots so heres a pic of the boot that i made for Sara .
Next job a crew for the C-16 and Caboose .

Blimey that driver looks absolutely legless...................................................... He's about as good as a one legged man at an arse kicking contest.................
But they do look good even at a close distance

He did start life with two legs but found it hard to fit the figure round the reverse lever so he had to loose a leg .
