how to secure wheels?

A little while ago I was asking about LGB wheels. Well I have this chassis that has extended axles made by someone. Its based on LGB wheels and a 0-6-0 LGB motor block. There are also fly cranks on the ends. What Id like to do is re gauge to Gauge 3 as there is room to move the wheels up the axles and use it in the future. Now some of the wheels are already movable, some not. Question is after I?ve moved them to gauge (and added packing washers between them and the block) how can I secure them to the axles? Will Locktite do it?

Thanks,
Simon.

I doubt that it would cut the mustard on that. Use Araldite, but remember to thouroughly degrease the Axles and Wheel holes first. good luck,

One of the Loktite bearing fit products would work well. I use it all the time to repair wonky cases and I've not had one drop out yet! also Red loktight on the axles would do a good job but needs to be heated to remove if needed and if you have any plastic in the wheels it could be a problem..................Paul.....................

thanks guys. will give it a go, before i get a body incase it doesn't work. issue now is I dont need another gauge 3 shunter!

Don't use the blue. You can try the red or one of their other products
