Is USAT SD-40 Compatable with R3 Curves

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if the USAT SD-40 will take radius 3 curves. I know most co-co wheel arrangements need 4ft minimum radius. However the USAT web site doesn't specify a minimum radius for this loco. Although the online instruction manual shows that the trailing axle in each bogie swivels within the bogie frame itself. Is this unique to USAT co co's and does it allow tighter radius to be negotiated.
Anyone know?
Thanks

R3 curves will be fine for this loco. It may be able to do R2 and R1, but would look a bit strange doing so, thus best to stick to a minimum of R3 for this loco....

The SD40 is designed to go around 8ft diameter, ie R3
We have made one go around R2 with serious modifications to the loco. There is no way it will do R1.

I have a USA Trains SD 40-2 and it goes round my layout fine with R3 Curves you just need to add the other coupling that does R3 .
