Re:Just secured this little fella.....

Those new IP gearboxes are much more successful than the early 'self eject' variety :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Re:Just secured this little fella.....

They aren't bad, however if you don't get the gears meshed correctly (which sounds easier than it is!) the worm just strips the crown wheel :@ Did it about 3 times for me...

Re:Just secured this little fella.....

3:1 much too steep.

I was advised by the elctronics whizzes on this 'ere forum that you need somewhere bewteen 35:1 and 50:1. NiMh work better when the motor's whizzing and not grunting :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

3:1 is much too steep chugger..... however coupled to a 15:1 -20:1 motor/gearbox will make it 45:1 - 60:1 shurely?

Definitely shirley - I misread your previous and thought that you were going to do 3:1 in place of 15:1.

45:1 should be spanking :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

An appropriate length of tube perhaps?
