Hello,
I`m still having trouble with my copy of this model. It is an early one with plastic gears, all broken, subsequently replaced with metal ones. I bought the loco secondhand and found the gears were broken although the vendor told me he had tested it before dispatch and all was fine.
I don`t know whether the problem arose as a result of testing with gears broken and the motors trying to turn the wheels. Neither do I have the instructions to tell me what functions the three switches behind the air reservoir perform.
The loco runs on rollers by starting at a slow speed, no gradual slide away from rest. It will only run in one direction. All dip switches under the plug in circuit board are in the left hand position when the loco is viewed with the loudspeaker to the left.
Any suggestions???
I also have a Kiss RhB 6/6 II. I`m thinking of swapping over the circuit boards from the 6/6 to the 4/4 for trial purposes. Is there any reason this might not work?
Many thanks
