that stuff will not come out of the carpet -its like graphite powder-
great loco indeed
you have read no doubt to -
1 never leave unattended while cleaning
2 regularly check the cleaning axels and remove fine threads of worn flange plastic from around the axels
3 at all costs avoid voltage spikes

in my experience with a slight grade-if the track is wet, has tree sap, etc., the grinding wheels have more traction than the drive wheels and the loco may stall-or do the rhumba

i have reversed the polairty of the grinding wheel leads to the grinding motor-so it is 'front wheel drive' of sorts and this has eliminated stalling and imho the loco tracks better through turnouts-cleaning is negligibly affected

I too have reversed the cleaning motor's power leads and personally find the locomotive a lot better with the cleaning wheels running the same way as the traction wheels.
As Steve says, never leave it unattended. For the brief time that you do turn your back it will find something to catch on, stop moving and grind a couple of divots into the railhead. Never be tempted to add any extra weight to the cleaning end, it'll strip the gears in no time.
Keep it clean and look after it and it'll look after your track.
