Model Railroading, boats and oil painting,
Country flag
Some time ago I posted my little hauler loco bash, built for the grandkids(they wanted to run something like mine, I didnt want to go down Thomas route )I posted the loco and train, but not the cars, family getogether last week and they came out the box for an airing, think only for the third time,so thought would post at least one, took photos, then realized the i had not lettered properly, only quick paintjob, have to get some more dryrubs, need for other things,as for the cars, simple mods,,,,seats, glazing, curtains, passengers and a few bits n bobs added, this one has the Mexican boy taking his chickens to market chatting to the conductor, there is another passenger car and a baggage, all done in the same way,P&CG?..Phoenix and Casa Grande.trackage rites over the C&RG,at least when the little ones are here!!!!! :) :)

:) I like.

This sort of 'characterture' modelling is a pleasant relief from the more serious stuff at time. This would be right at home on a compact layout with R1 curves.

Nice job as is, would grace any layout. It is the subtle paint job and details that make the changes that you have done.

Nice, I did something similar to mine, adding the interiors, grab rails, etc...but i just couldn't bring myself yet to weathering the exterior.

I am rather surprised you kept the stock couplers, why?

I ditched them the second I got them home, stock they don't work with anything else besides Thomas stuff.

Truth is Vic,only run the loco and cars together, that way the grandkids only run what their supposed to,they know that all other "stuff" is mine,as it wont fit as they say,but saying that, the caboose(previous post) can run with either Lil cars or normal bachmann,(sssshhhh, they haven"t cottoned on to that yet :-X),coupling modified using plastruct square tube.Rarely use that either, normally all away in boxes!!!

That's a super little coach, Well done, I bet the grandkids are really pleased with it :)

Well that one way to keep them from playing with your stuff, sorry kids, no can do, the couplers dont match up :o ;)

They are ideal for little hands, easy to use,put back on,run smoothly, and very rarely derail, set them up with a LGB starter set controller, kids love them :) :)
