Leader in action

Hi folks
Well I finally got round to fitting single channel radio control to my Accucraft Leader, and yesterday, Roy Wood and I made a little film. You will see that the loco is pretty well standard at the moment, other than the inevitable device up the chimney and some dummy valve chests I designed (watch out for the Locoworks version of these). One lesson from the session was the importance of watching the water gauge on these locos!

You can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDRTbjAywbw

And on my website news page as usual.
Cheers
Chris

The railway looks stunning in that film Chris, super stuff. The loco looks well too & suits the I.O.M. stock very well. Lovely film :thumbup:

Thanks Garry - it is great having lots of plants, but they took a fair bit of clipping befor I shot this film. I still missed a few though as you probably spotted :)

Thanks Allan. I think the simple answer must be that they didn't sell all that well - I got mine when they were seriously discounted to clear stock - £530 including post from AnythingNarrowGauge.
Although it is a scale model and runs beautifully, fitting radio control (which many will want) is certainly not simple as no provision was built in, and the small boiler runs out of water surprisingly quickly (well it surprised me as I was concentrating on the filming!).
Having said that, I really like it and have seen photos of some really superb ones.
Cheers
Chris
