Does anyone know which locomotive the #2200 motor is for? It looks like it has the shorter shafts, and is listed as having the small thrust bearings included in the package. My initial presumption was that it may fit most split gear box locos.
Dan,
the 2200 is the early motor, post growler era (1970 onwards). It fits the older clamshell split gearboxes that use the two small spherical thrust balls. It does not have the later ball bearing shaft bearings.
