Greetings fellow members. I am a fan of these coaches, the nearest LGB models to my beloved Talyllyn Brown Marshall 1865 coaches. I recently found this listing http://trainslgb.blogspot.com/2011/07/lgb-trains-3050-dark-green-coach.html
however I have a version similar to type E but with lamp tops but no clerestory, the inspection sticker on the base carries the code 901105. It does not appear to have been rebuilt.
However I have what appears to be a type A but there are no tops on the moulded "spikes" on the roof.
Are there any other varieties?
I am off tomorrow to look at the Isle on Man railways. Last year we were unable to reach the Groundle Glen railway, there are 2 disabled in the party, I hope that the bottom path will be open on Sunday.:)

Hi, Derek, I have seen green/brown version (two classes) and a special, all red version, in Germany in the 80's for a promotion of a German Franken wine. Alyn

Thanks Alyn, the brown and green/brown versions are mentioned on the listing.
The new price at Llanfair was £89 per coach!
Regards, Derek

Which is quite cheap compared to some of LGB's other coaches.. for example... the DR and HSB ones are £150 pounds with plastic wheels.
I'm not bothered about the price... if i'm happy with what i buy... doesn't matter about the price...
