LGB F7 Sound

Hello again
I have got an LGB F7 A & B Unit pair which has been converted to DCC using an LGB decoder. The problem is that I have no control over the sound functionality with my Massoth Navigator system. The loco starts off with the horn sounding and as it goes round the circuit, the bells ring almost at random but the Navigator buttons have no effect. Any ideas?

If I remember correctly the LGB F7 came in two varieties.
One type had factory onboard DCC decoders in 'a' and 'B' units and sound in the 'B' unit which also then controlled the speaker in the 'A' unit

The other type was the wholly analogue type which had digitally created sounds but it was controlled in an analogue fashion ie it doesn't respond to DCC track instructions but the setting of the analogue controller.
The motor sound responded to increasing DC voltage and the horn would sound if setting off or reversing etc.

Either type use the sensor in the unpowered 'B' unit's rear bogie to give the speed instructions to the sound board and/or the decoder.

In both cases there should be a cable linking the two units ('A' and 'B'). This allows the decoder to 'speak' from one unit to the other and to connect the 'A' unit's speaker to the sound board in the 'B' unit

Here are a couple of links to the pages for the DCC equipped 'A' and 'B' and also the analogue (non-DCC) 'A' and 'B'
scroll down the pages to get to english instructions etc.
