Hi all,

Does anyone else have one of these?

Mine runs really slowly, even after a good service.

I wondered about others experience of the model, good/bad/indifferent?

I love it, but its so slow I hardly ever use it!

Thanks all

Oddly enough, I've just got (as in the last couple of days) a VERY old one of these off ebay - it's an original yellow-box one, with the "toolbox" that covers the motor painted green. I've not even put it on a proper track yet, but did put it on the test rollers on the workbench and it seems to go like the clappers when you turn the knob up, with little Herr Gustav pumping away as if he's going for a little plastic heart attack! ;)

Being an early spur-geared motor it's very noisy, and only the front wheels are driven - I don't know if that got changed later on, did they ever put a "standard" 4-wheel-drive motor block under these?

The older one with the 4 digit model number (2001) is relatively slow, the newer one with the 5 digit model number (20010) is slightly faster. I can push a wagon with ball bearing wheels and get it to go faster than either at 1/2 throttle.

both are driven by a single axle.

I have one

It pulls a works trailer, And yes, when you consider the amount of

pick up's it does run smooth.
