LGB Jumbo 50100 Circuit Diagram?

Hi everyone

I am retired and operate an old analogue outdoor LGB layout at a nursing home on a voluntary basis.

Just about everything is between 15 and 35 years old.

The LGB Jumbo 50100 has suddenly stopped working. I have looked at old threads on this forum. I have looked all over the internet.

My question is - can anybody provide an electronic circuit diagram of the Jumbo for me to provide to my electrical assistant, please?

Thanking you all in anticipation!

Full Steam Ahead!

Sorry, no circuit diagram. But ensure that the D shaped plug on the rear panel is there and fully home. Without it, a Jumbo appears dead.

Hi

My elderly technical assistant believes that the MOSFET IKW50 from Farnell is the replacement type for the: H65N05F1, which is installed in the Jumbo.
Sounds as if your technical assistant knows his electronics!

These units are long out of production now. I would expect that they will not be supported by the manufacturer LGB, especially as they were brought my Maerklin a few years ago. They still occasionally turn up on Ebay, but are much prized and quite reliable.

It might be worth replacing the MOSFET if your friend has diagnosed it as the problem....

Greetings gentleman, I’m from the US and have been a collector for many years. I have learned much from all of you, perhaps I can contribute a little now: I was looking for a Jumbo last year and found one that needed a repair. After doing a lot of google digging, I assumed that LGB had someone else make their power packs/transformers, so I turned an old one over and found the reference to Steger. A google search led me to :

I decided on a working unit and it is still in service today as I weigh in on moving to DCC. It appears they still do repairs on the units of the Jumbo. They also can supply knobs, etc.
