Added LGB MTS II 22021 decoder to starter set Stainz, not really happy with the results. Marklin CS3 finds and can change CV values, played with the settings but no matter what a few issues remain
- sometimes the locomotive stutters for no reason, motion isn't smooth at times. sometimes it stops for no time
- cab light flickers
- sound can't be controlled digitally, I think the decoder doesn't have any sound function so speaker is still connected to the main PCB and voltage driven. speaker comes on beyond certain speed
Am I missing something ? any critical CV that might fix this ?


It was very tough to install the decoder as the locomotive has barely any space to work, I pulled few wires accidentally that had to be soldered back.... not worth the time if this is the result
 
I guess it is because it is an older decoder with only 14 speed steps, it might play up.

Check your CS3 supports this and adjust as required....
