LGB Plantation locomotive

Those with long memories may remember that I started this loco some years ago.  Alas, it languished long forgotten until recently.  I decided to progress it.  Tree branches were cut from the yard and dried out.  They were then individually split to represent cut logs.  I had intended to fill the bunkers with aftermarket chaff bags seen on eBay (representing bags of sugar cane waste as fuel),  but the cost would have been prohibitive.

An LGB #2017 series body has been grafted onto a Stainz chassis and parts of a leftover cab fitted to the tender.  Both units are powered. Eventually an XLS decoder will be fitted.

The split logs really add a new dimension - they look really good!

Nice job, next stage might be some subtle weathering to tone down the Red undercarriage.

Jon,
the loco is still under construction and will be completely repainted, including the undercarriage.

That looks really good, a few simple mods and the character of the loco changed completely :)

Looks very Indian or perhaps South American.....what was your concept?...............Please don't say Bradford & Bingley!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As Hercule Poirot says, "the little grey cells". All from the mind and purely freelanced, based on what parts were available.
