The pictured loco was bought as part of the original LGB MTS set 55010 and comes in that box. The central station and loco mouse were disposed of separately to another forumite who was happy with MTS 1 (serial). Fairly soon after acquiring it I had my other locos converted and as a result this one has mainly sat in its box for 20 years.
It is in good (I would say excellent) cosmetic condition. Hopefully the attached photos are sufficiently detailed to demonstrate that point. I have test run just now and the only thing that is not working is the sound (which was restricted to a single horn blast, not running sounds). I am not sure whether that is a function of testing on my Massoth system; IIRC there might have been a dedicated buttion on the original loco mouse. Directional lights both working.
The decoder is original LGB (presumably Lenz and numbered 55020) and therefore runs at 14 speed steps.
I was planning to put this on eBay but thought I should check if anyone here is interested before I do that. An excellent acquisition if you have younger visitors to the layout and want to provide an alternative to your more precious traction.
Asking £150 + P&P but would entertain a reasonable offer. It’s a Royal Mail medium parcel by virtue of weight so Tracked 48 would be £10.91. I am in S. Hampshire and could arrange collection on person, or delivery Hampshire, Surrey West Sussex. If you are not in a hurry I could also deliver W Midlands, Shropshire, N Wales on my next trip to the family.
