LGB 'Spreewald' 2-6-0 Tank

On behalf of my dad, the above loco has a bit of a problem.
The headlights and cab light will not work!
The loco is dcc controlled via a LGB chip.
The lights will also not work on analogue too.
Under DCC opperation the lights will not respond to been turned off and on........... they just remain unlit, the same goes for analogue too.
The bulbs though, do work when taken out and put to a power supply.

try reversing the plugs on the chip.. ie, put the back l;ights in the front lights sockets.. see if its the chip, or a wire ..

i will, but seen as it was ok, and appers to have just stopped working, it must be the chip right?

it could well be, or, a broken wire if ur lucky.. hense swapping the plugs round, it will show if its the chip/or a broken wire..

ruddy thing, not like chips are cheap either.

no , but.. with a bit off work, you can reverse the wires form the motor block, and run the chip backwards..
