Morning!

I'm a recent convert to 'Live Steam' having just purchased an Aristo 'Mikado' and I now need to identify suppliers (either on-line, or in the North West of the UK), where I can obtain :

1. Steam Oil.

2. Butane 70/30 mix which appears to be the chosen 'favourite' amongst the Aristo Live Steam fraternity on the forum. I understand B&Q may stock this, but are there other sources?

3. Lubrication oil - the only type I have heard of (Aristo Forum again), is '3-in-1 oil' but are there others?

4. Distilled Water - not a problem I understand, due to the almost limitless supplies (suitably filtered) courtesy of the British weather.

Any help on local suppliers (Greater Manchester etc), would be much appreciated.

1. speak to John @ trackshack
2. b&q do Go Gas which is fine, you can't post gas cans
3. light mechanical oil, sewing machine oil, or ask trackshack
4. i use a dehumidifier but well filtered rainwater can be used

Wickes is a cheaper source than B+Q of 70/30 mix gas.

Gun oil is the best for the moving bits,it's more pure than 3in1,obtainable from most country sports shops.
