The availability of kits for the assembly of locomotives have been around for many years and the copy here of a Jubb of Sheffield kit for the assembly of a Great Central Railway 4-6-2T dates from the 1920s.
The loco shown here running on the youtube video was built up from one such kit and has recently been restored to nice running order.
The model is Gauge 3 and is seen here on the appropriate track gauge of 2 1/2" (64mm)
