Locked up Stainz

Just had to replace a motor in one of the fleet, it locked up solid, though maybe stripped gear, but instead Motor seized solid

Anyone had this happen?

Had it happen with an N gauge loco. The magnet became detached from the motor casing and jammed the armature. Tiny blob of Araldite to the rescue!

Also had a motor jam due to the brushes wearing to the point they fell through the shaft and the spring jammed on the commutator.

Not had a problem with any G scale motors so far.

The last LGB motor I had solidify was due to part of the brush coming adrift.
