Making People "The how to" or rather "how i do"

I'm still laboriously attempting tpo make little people, but honestly I think they will all have to be kept well in the background. This attractive (?!?!?!?) little lady is my latest. She still has to be baked and painted, but I fear she looks like a cross between Joe Bugner (who he?) and Rosa Kleb. I certainly wouldn't want to bump into her down on Aberdeen docks on a Saturday night. Oh well, back to the clay8|8|8|8|8|8|

Ok Cyril not bad .... not really bad... can i if you dont mind say cover her /him in clay and make one piece overals or at least the bottom half into trousers...... legs and arms are not easy........ so to start cover them up because creases in clothing is easyer to get away with....... also arms until you get used to doing them have them down the side of the body its easyer to get the proporsions correct............. and use the same colour clay and paint after i found different colours distract from the shape... you will find yourself visulising about the paint and colours when you are making it any way.............. i use flesh colour clay as its cheaper to buy in bulk i encoraged youve stuck at it i think maybe your doing some bits to fast to soon
she has something about her though

OK Tony some useful hints there. I was using different colours for different parts to sort of keep the thing sort of orderly as I progressed. I think that trying to get very accurate facial expressions is the wrong way to go, maybe it is better to go for a sort of caricature. Which is what you did with great success. Oh well, I'll try a bit more. My lady does have a sort of je ne sais quoi, but that's OK as long as she keeps it hidden.
