Mamod locomotives

I have no interest in Mamod locomotives, however, seeing the local price in Australia, $1700.00, I thought how much in the mother country. Well, suprise, 352 English pounds (including VAT). Your VAT is twice our GST. Convert the local price here to pounds and one gets 1150 English pounds. That equates to exactly 800 pounds to ship and retail the locomotive, not including the actual cost of the loco. Who is ripping who off???????

I can't imagine they have sold even one at that price! Are you sure you have the decimal point in the right place?

on the Pamak Hobbies website, Bargo N.S.W. I checked the part number on the web to confirm. Even a basic Mamod is $1400 plus dollars. Seems a little stiff for the price as a Roundhouse is not a great deal more (within reason).
