Massoth PC Module apparently failing

I decided to test my backup PC Module, which as far as I know has never been used. Connected up using LGB power supply (works fine with my usual module). It's the older module version which allows AC or DC due to internal rectification.

When switched on, red light flickers and goes off (should stay on). When powered off, light flashes briefly and goes off. This occurs regardless of whether its connected to the laptop with MST.

So it looks as if the unit has failed but I thought I should at least ask here if anyone else has seen this behaviour, and what the outcome was. And as a long shot has anyone had one repaired?

I sent one for repair several years ago.
Helpfully, someone plugged the bus cable from a powered Digitrax unit into it..
Both units had to go away for repair.

Any idea how much a repair would cost? Assuming that it’s not an expensive bit that’s gone pop?

Embarrassingly, the repair was free*, but it did cost me carriage (from/to the UK) both directions..

Still cheaper than a new unit.

*This may well have been because I was doing installations and repairs for a UK dealer, at the time.
But I did deal direct with Massoth.

Pretty certain they should be able to give you an idea of the repair cost, if asked?
