Hi guys and gals/gents and ladies,

Most of you are knowing what i am up to with track making.
I had some really great succes and even greater fails....
A human is learning from his succes but a human learns more from his failures....(bit of my hobby life motto, i dont know from whom this saying was/is, sorry)

I altered some dimensions in my turnout making, it works pretty well, better than proto typical (in scale).
To make a loco drive on prototypical, it can be done!!! easy up to a hassle if you have the propper tools/equipment/knowledge!
No tools dont start.(For track making can be cheap! 1 euro a meter, tools for this dont have to be expensive)

Oke, the question:

After 2 months on catawiki i bought some really nice loco's and also wanted to buy some turnouts, cous i have/had a nagging feeling.
(not going to pay more then 20 euro for one turnout...)

All the pictures made of the Marklin turnouts are just not in the corner that i need.
Just strait up seeing the tracks getting smaller.
Now i could ask for some pictures, but i would like something else, just some measurements.
Now my turnouts and ect have the setting of 2.50mm between the safety rail and the rail and 2.50mm between the frog guard rail and the rail now.
I have a negging feeling that the distance of the frog guard rail to the rail is 3mm? and the other 2.50mm?

Keep in mind that i will only run bigger loco's (like the croc and such)/German, Polish, Soviet, usa, and the red devil...Cargo and heavy passenger.
I would like to have some real measurements of a turnout (marklin turnouts/crossovers ect would be great), i really hope someone can and is willing to do that.
I am not going to pay 50E for a small radii turnout for some measurements. Ex shipping, insurance and vee.

I really hope that i will get the answer i am looking for and that someone wants to invest some time for this, why should i reinvent the wheel?
It was a great learning experience btw

Thank you all in advance, with best regards Igor.

PS, i would like 1 at 32 scale, just to keep it pure, Soviet track is a wider track so i have to start from scratch again to make it correct for the AA20, that loco is really destined to failure, wish i could afford autocado_Oo_Oo_O.

Igor have you looked at Tinkercad its free and very easy to learn.
Is a bit restricted but for basic CAD work it is fine.

I printed on of these and it works fine I printed it in PLA+, as it is inside my shed it should be fine if using outside print in either PETG or ABS.

Good luck trying to find points at €20 a piece with a decent radius, at that sort of buy price you may be lucky to get LGB R1, nowhere near what you desire. Sorry justme igor justme igor but has to be said. There were some LGB R5 points offered in the forum a few days ago at a very reasonable price but still more than twice your willing to pay price. I think all sold now.

So I have just been out to the garden with my Toschibo Digital Calipers to measure some distances for you:-
Trainline 45. Lgb R3 Peco G45
Frog. 3.81. 4.38. 3.17
Check Rail. 3.10. 3.2. 2.88

I do worry a bit about the accuracy of the device plus my LGB Frog measurement….. I think your desired Gauge 1 standards may be closer to the Peco G45 though Peco do G1 track that could be finer but I do nit use it so cannot help.
