Merkin ocsillating cylinders

Does anyone have any experiance of the merlin ocsillating cylinders? Are they the same size as mamods? Are they geared and are they any good?

I think they bought them in from Mamod and only the later Mr Merlin Steamlines company used their own for the osmotors.

Thanks guessing they may lack power then. Unless I replace with upgraded mamod ones

There are different sorts. The original Ossies from Merlin used Mamod, later they did their own. The Tom Cooper geared osmotor was a different thing entirely. What sort of locomotive do you have?

There was a Momad cylinder loco which sold on ebay recently for more than it was really was worth although interesting.
