Yet another job on my to do list! They do look like a a good job though.
I asked Steve from Back2bay6 a while before you offered to make these if he could get some brass brakets made but he thought it would be too expensive.
If anyone wants to improve the hose that runs on the brackets a fellow Surrey Scale member has replaced the stiff shiney plastic hose with a boot lace with the core replaced with a length of pluming solder which looks much more realistic.
Ta for that, yup the bootlace is good option, a bit of old 2.5 Twin and Earth stripped and run down the middle is another option. That's on my To do list too, have nt painted my brackets yet either...
I know there was something just can't remember at the moment but it seems like a much quicker and cheaper to way to get small batches of brass parts made rather than casting. Steps and straps for wagons etc would seem useful. Sorry I can't remember if it is your business with the cutter or what it is normally used for. The only people I know locally with lazer cutters only have the low power type for wood and plastic.
