Model fruit

I am not fussy. I am looking for some fruit to put in some model crates. I was thinking of Apples, oranges, bananas or similar.

Thanks. Unless I am being stupid doll’s house stuff seems to be 1:12 scale, so probably too big to look convincing. For example the bunch of grapes look to be about 18 mm long, so over a scale foot in length. But it may well be what I go with….

You do need to check, but dolls house is available in 1:12 and 1:24.

Most the sites allow you to filter by scale, but I tend to email and ask the question, as well.

As you say, 1:12 seems to be the default.

Despite what scale it is 'supposed' to be, much seems to be on the large size?
I suppose it is understandable, if made by 1:1 fingers?

Don't be tempted to be artistic with plasticene, though, at least if it is to go outdoors. Not fruit, but I painstakingly modelled the window display for a cake shop and later that summer it all melted. I have made some things from Milliput and modelling clay, but my patience for that sort of thing is in short supply. That said, I will need to make a lot of oranges in due course, so I'd better learn.

No there are also limited supplies of 1/2 inch or 1:24 or thereabouts scale.

Of course another option may be to make your own, full peper corns and grape pips certainly have been used for oranges and pears. Of course need painting suitable colours.
