Model G scale tramway at HSM (Hannover tram museum)

I'm a tram enthusiast and have made trams Scale G
Country flag
At last weekend I have been at the HSM tramway museum near Hannover. The big Lgb tram layout was open to the public. I was invited to run my trams. The reason was, that I have digitalized 15 of my trams with decoders. (Lgb 55020 and Lgb 55021) One tram was already with a decoder from Lgb it self (Cologne one) Two other trams I shoot on Ebay for an acceptable price. These tree ones are running with their digitrax central station and controler. All the other ones are not running. We are not able to find a solution for that. At home I'm working with a MTS Lgb station and controler and all 15 trams were able to run. (Of course only 7 at a time, Only 7 + one analouqe one (with dobble addresses)
So I decided to take one of the running motors into my oldest tram, so I could play on that layout. This tram is about 30 years old and was my first modell I built in G scale. It is still very simple and looks a bit shaby now.
Peter.
May be someone is out there and have had the same problems with the Lgb decoders and digitrax.
Movie made with mobile phone.

Nice action - like the roundabout!

What addresses are the trams you can not run on Peter?

If your decoders are very old, they could be set to serial, but should still run..

Can you 'see' the decoders on your programming track?
You should be able to read CV 1 (short address) by selecting Direct programming on the Digitrax? - What model of Central Station, and Throttle do you have?
PhilP.

I don't know what comand station they are using. When I search for it it lokk like the DCS100, The Throttle look like the DT402 one.
At home I'm using the old MTS System. Mostly I use the LGB 55010 DIGITAL MTS Train Mouse Controers. So I can use only addresses from 1 to 8.
I'm an absolut beginner with digital trams. I have no clou with the programming. I do have an old programm on my old windows XP computer, wasn't able to use it. Means I tried it onces, but havnt enough tiime to try it again. Other People programming my 12 decoders, I bought for me. That means also, that 4 locos having the same address, They are changend on an isolated parking track. So time by time the other trams can be run.

I too liked the squeaky tram, very realistic wheel squeal! Didn't most UK cities with road traffic roundabouts, simply let the tram traffic run right through the centre of the roundabouts?

Yes - straight through the middle!

Liverpool had proper roundabouts for trams at the Pier Head and, I think, London may have constructed one towards the end of the system (for the Festival of Britain) - but don't quote me on that last thought!!!

I hadn't noticed before my first reply about the LGB tram layout, that the roundabout has 2 turnouts on one side (possibly one facing and one trailing), enabling the roundabout to be used as a return loop. This would be needed if the tracks leading away from the roundabout were not available for an exhibition. This is a very good idea indeed!
