Model of Groudle Glen loco Polar Bear

I have just purchased a second-hand model of the Isle of Man Groudle Glen Railway battery loco 'Polar Bear'. The worm gear is slipping on the shaft. Does anyone know how to remove the body to get to the motor? (I have access to the full size version, but that is not a lot of help!)

Without telling us the name of it's maker, whether it's built from a kit etc., or posting some pics of it, that may be a bit of a long shot Roy?
