Thanks for you interest in the Newqida. As a picture tells a thousand words, I've quickly lashed up a wee 10 minute video that hopefully shows some of the things I've mentioned. It was done in the first take on a mobile phone and the focus isn't great but hope it gives you an in sight.

Whilst I'm very much a DCC man and I've not ventured into R/C, I found this very informative, thanks for posting. I have been contemplating one of these NQD locos for when I fancy a quick play without bothering to clean the track etc.

So... how controllable is the loco speed with your mods? Could you post a short video clip to illustrate?
