Mortimer reverser

I am in the process (a slow one) of putting my Mortimer back together after cosmetic changes. There has been a break between taking it apart and putting it together, coupled with a lack of sleep (a new baby is the cause of both the break and the lack of sleep!!) Now I can't remember whether the reverser rod goes in the top or bottom hole on the bell crank at the chassis end. The only photos I can find show a one hole bell crank and mine has 2, both original to the loco. Any help really gratefully received please!!

This may help:-

It's Edrig, but they're all the same.

Mine's in the bottom hole. That looks like a r/c link in the photo, not the manual reverser?
My RC link goes to the cab quadrant - that's the reverser link.
May be that's why I have trouble?

Just dismantled Lawley for a repaint, so here's a photo of reverser links:-

Maybe I should re-visit Edrig, although he's running pretty well now.

Well....

I've attacked Edrig and moved the link to the lower hole.
In the process I've disloged the large oversize cross head screw in the crank.
A previous owner had commited this particular crime, and it was held by one thread.
The crank thread is now stripped, so the loco is out of action.
I've sent a plea to Accucraft, but does anyone know how to source one elswhere?

Accucraft have responded, and a crank is on its way.
Meanwhile, I've attacked the old one, sweated the boss away from the lever, repositioned and silver soldered at 90º with a new hole tapped M3. It should provide a spare.

New crank fitted to Edrig. My repair didn't stand up to track testing.
So he's now running again, with the reverser rod in the lower hole.
Can't really see any difference, but of course, I'm now back to square one with timing adjustments.
