All I want for Christmas is a Railking Dash 8 WHOOPEE
Guess what, my wife said to me, instead of helping me with all the kids presents and all the shopping.
Why dont you go into the garden and play with your Dash 8?

Does anyone know if you can convert these to battery operation (keeping the DCS) so I can play with the live steam boys.

Regarding your question, afaik MTH's DCS system is unique to MTH, so unless they produce an on board equivalent to the Track Interface Unit I very much doubt that your idea is practical.
