My Blue Tram

This is my new tram I just completed. Uses a Saito Marine boiler, a PMR engine, and a ceramic burner. The video on you tube explains more.

Nice, well constructed machine Steve. Video is also useful and explains the build fully and demonstrates how well the tram runs.
All in all an excellent project, I reckon.

That's fantastic Steve, it runs so quietly the squeaking wheels on your rolling stock make more noise! What sort of machinery / equipment did you use to build it?

Great effort Steve.
It seems that i have watched a regner running on the same track today.

I have a chinese made lathe and mill combination, and other assorted hand tools and such. I thought adding a walkaround explanation of the engine would show newcomers how simple and engine can be.

Wow Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate that's very nice..... I was thinking of buying one of the mill lathe combos but kept my vintage Myford lathe and bought the Chinese Mill as an adjunct.... How do you find yours? Mine is quite accurate and does a superb job on small bits that would otherwise have to be hand filed and take ages to make....
Trully inspirational, in intend to build a Baldwin bodied steam tram but as it has side shields to prevent scaring horses I'll be able to cheat on the motion and such....

My choice was based on the available space in my shop. I could save space by purchasing the combo. It certainly works well for me.

That is what is a benefit of the tram designs any motion under the skirts will work.
Thanks
Steve
