Sounds like PWM interference to me....
Ok many thanks, will pull it apart (again) to see. Just recently put it back together after a faulty chip replacement.PWM getting into the card, or speaker..
Only needs a stray whisker of wire, as the motor and speaker terminals are adjacent to each other
You will have to open the loco up, and have a look - see..

Yes, it only happens to the smallest and most intricate battery conversionsOk many thanks, will pull it apart (again) to see. Just recently put it back together after a faulty chip replacement.
I think this is an easy problem. The whistling sound is the turbocharger which is provided for heavy diesels. I think you have accidentally enabled it.Note the odd sounds, tried to reset the card using the correct remote control but this will not work though all the sounds are activated by the Remote.
Hi Peter many thanks that has resolved my issue.I think this is an easy problem. The whistling sound is the turbocharger which is provided for heavy diesels. I think you have accidentally enabled it.
With your TV remote, press Mute, press the 5 button repeatedly until you hear just one beep then press Mute again to get back to normal operation.
Please email me at sales@mylocosound.com if that does not do the trick.
