Need a 3 foot dia. Will a motorblock run on it?

Hi gang

I'm back!! We are building a garden railway

I have a project...I need to know if I make a smaller 3 foot 36 inch dia. Circle by bending brass track, if a lgb stainz motorblock will handle the tighter radius ( it would be 18" I think )???

Any help appreciated !!!

Not exactly sure but it will probably be OK. The flanges will prematurely wear the plating so important to run equally both ways to get the greatest lifetime.

Will certainly work but as said turn to even the wear. I did manage to get my LGB Steam Tram round my 6in Rad curves (same motor block as Stainz) but I would not recommend that for reliable running. 18 inch Rad will be fine though.

I am going to make a turntable and use the motor block and track to turn the bridge !!

You might want to open the gauge up by a millimeter or two.
