New lineside shed

Steam tractors, good books, scratchbuilding models
While trying to modify the trucks of some cheap New Blight cars to accept full sized wheels, I suffered a catastrophic failure of one. This left me with an extra car body. So I did what a real railroad would have done with a surplus boxcar (no, not roll it in a ditch and burn it... tempting, but no.).

I think it came out rather well for a rainy afternoon project built from crap that I had laying around....

Looks good!

Nice one - lots of little details.:)

That's just sooo good Mik. To someone in the UK, that so perfectly says 'US trackside' that if one of the large manufacturers made it as a kit, they'd sell 1000's.

But...
(Get's coat, ready to do a runner)
If only the figure wasn't on a base, it would be perfect...

Base? What base?

I did a bit of changing around late last night. The fellow moved up in the world... now I just need to wash the resin dust off, Lemax figures sure make a mess!

The reason the carbody is set on such a high 'perch' is that it's actually the right height to use as a freight platform with 332 track
