Excellent mouldings and a really competitive price - won't be long before we'll be seeing these on most garden railways across the country.

Hi,

Thanks for the comments :)
The ready to go date should be tonight, as the rubber is just about cooked.
I'll be pulling product this evening and getting the proper pictures on the site, including the instructions.

Thanks,
Rob.

The wheels I'm supplying for 7/8ths are 24mm 6 spoke curly.

Rob :)

Now fully finished with finished pics and instructions, on the site and ready to go .
Thanks.
Rob.

Hi folks
I have just received a kit to try for size and it is a real gem. It is small enough to go with tippers, slate wagons and will be perfect behind Mamod, Hunslet etc. The detailing has to be Rob's best yet and I estimate the build time will be just a few minutes.
Here are some photos of the parts (less wheels and axles) and then with it just 'clicked' together.
Cheers
Chris

Well it is an indoor afternoon and I spent a pleasant five minutes building the Swift Sixteen kit (okay - I did stop for tea:D).
It is, of course, a small industrial flat wagon, but I am having difficulty deciding how to paint it. Weathered grey? Black chassis? Pick out the bolts etc in black? Then I took the photo with the churns and thought .....green chassis? Natural wood boards? (Green is my Watercombe Creamery colour). Suggestions please.......what colour would you paint one?
Cheers

How about black metalwork and green timbers all weathered with some of the green paint peeled away to show natural timber (especially the load bed where the churns would rub)? Something similar to this

Lovely looking model.

Thanks for the suggestion and photo Pugwash - it is interesting that the railways took the time to pick the ironwork out in black - maybe it was job creation.....
I am still pondering - but am tempted by my Creamery colours......

Well I finally got round to painting the flat - and decided on weathered grey. I mixed up some wood colour for the inside surface of the planks and used dry brushing to add grain etc. Then I mixed up some dusty weathering for the airbrush and got a bit carried away - so now it is all the same colour - ah well 8|
I added some bits of chain and some scratch built churns - which also need some weathering......
Cheers
