Not one of these but many years back got a table chop saw of similar size, very good for cutting saw 0 gauge sleepers that I used it for a lot in the day. But one has to accept the small motors ability.

how interesting, wonder when Aldilidl will be selling one for £20 in the middle "last temptation of shopping" Aisle

Lidl have done a 'small' table saw.. But not a 'mini'..

The problem with a small DIY table saw (for modelling) is the blades are appreciably thicker, so you waste a lot more material..

I also have one of those mini chop saws that dunnyrail mentioned. It will cut small pieces up to 1/2" wide. It's a hell of alot safer than trying to cut small pieces on my 12" Makita mitre box.

Difficult to be (scale) accurate, when your saw blade removes a scale 3-4 inches with every cut..

That would be one of the only benefits of a mini table saw. Their blades are probably 1/64" thick, if that.

My mini saw blade by Minicraft cuts 1mm waste. Here is a pic of mine on my currently busy workbench. It came with a spare blade plus tools to swop the blade.image.jpg

In the USA I bought a mini table/chop saw for $19.95 US and it cuts LGB brass rail and nickel plated rail just fine. Over 20 years and still the original cutting blade. It came with 3 cutting blades and I do not even know where these are anymore.
