NOW SOLD! Lovely grey Corpet Louvet...

EDIT: Loco now confirmed as SOLD!

Up for sale mainly to help finance a new purchase..... a really nice condition (I'm tempted to say near-mint) grey LGB Corpet Louvet 0-6-0, DCC CHIPPED so will run happily on DC or DCC power. Appears very little used, I bought it a couple of years back and haven't even run it until I got it out of the box tonight to test it and take the photos!
As you can see from the underside shot, there is absolutely minimal wear on the skates and wheels, from the skate condition I doubt it's had more than a couple of hours running in its life. It is 100% intact and even has the swing-open chimney cover which is so often broken off from a lot of Corpets that come up for sale.

One of several different liveries that LGB produced over the years, this is the open-backed cab version with French-style numbering (No.54). The sticker underneath indicates that it is a 1998 built example.
Complete with good condition original box (just a little storage wear) and instruction booklet.

DCC decoder currently set to address 4.
Runs smoothly, lights work fine. All-in-all a lovely example of this popular little loco.

M/LGB's latest green version of this model retails at well over £500, and that's in unchipped analogue form.

I'm looking for £360, INCLUDING insured shipping to UK addresses. Would prefer to only ship within UK, but if anyone overseas is really keen then I'm sure we can work something out between us.....

* As a little "Black Friday-Cyber Monday" incentive: FREE EXTRA if I can get a quick sale on this - if I can get a sale agreed at the asking price within 48 hours, I'll chuck in a FREE LGB short closed van in the matching French Grey livery - see pic below - this van is UNBOXED but in very good condition, and easily worth £30+....

Drop me a PM if you're interested!

Thanks,
Jon.

Hi Jon.
Sent a pm (hopefully!)
Travelling to India this morning with work, but should be able to complete sale on route.
Regards, Graham WVRlwy

OK Graham, it's yours - along with the free wagon - I've just replied to your PM.....

Many thanks!
The loco is now SOLD pending the usual completion of formalities....

Jon.

Jon, can I come over and duff you up?
Nothing reminds me of the 'gone' railway as this. Real beauties, I had a green one for ages then waited ages for a grey one, finally got it only to be told we were moving shortly afterwards. Handkerchief time

Haha, sorry Pugs - didn't mean to drag up painful memories.... yes, they are lovely little locos, and I searched for a nice one for ages before finding this one - but I've now got so many locos that I'm trying to do a "one in, one out" policy rather than let the stable get any bigger - and of all the things I have, this one really doesn't fit my general "Saxon/Harz plus a little Austrian*" theme.

Couldn't you fit ANYTHING in G where you are now - even a little shelf-top shunting layout just to run a loco up and down?

* To quote the late, great Alan Coren: "Physically the Germans are tall and blond, but not always as tall and blond as they like to think, especially when they are short dark Austrians with a sense of destiny...." ;)

My wife is ex-German and shortish, the balcony is too small once she puts her plant pots on it so I'm building a HOe layout on a plank and will get a +/- 25 year old HO layout from her nephew next month for restoration so life goes on. Actually the detail on these tiny locos is incredible now, they could put G to shame.
