WOW GREAT:clap:

Superb! Really interesting to see the photos of the kit going together. Really beautifully built and now you’ve got a glorious loco, congratulations!

a new Occre Pacific 231 video
I have tested locomotive pulling two Passengers coaches without any rubber traction rings.

the test is encouraging, I would like to modify the BR18, remove both motor units from the tender and also mount a 150rpm JGY370 reducer on that locomotive directly on the big wheels.
there would be many advantages, first of all I would no longer need a power connector between the tender and the locomotive, the tender would be very light, I could remove the rubber rings from the 4 small wheels which now give traction.
however, now putting my hand to an already built locomotive scares me a little, I cannot overturn it as I would like and I should take half of it apart.

I know where you're coming from, the thought of dismantling and messing around with a perfectly good engine doesn't appeal, I leave it for braver people
