PIKO G announced their "Fall new items" today, with some very nice items...

For the HSB fans: the Harz Camel has returned, with a black frame!!

Also, there are two new starter sets with the BR80. One with passenger coaches, the other set contains two freight cars. The BR80 is now fitted with an analogue sound module and a smoke generator.

Of course, there are some exisiting models in different paint schemes too.

The Harz-camel definitely looks better with a black underframe, great to see that back in the catalog

Oh well at least if I manage to sell some it will be a box swap rather than an extra one

I see that the analogue sound module is available separately. Will it fit Bachmann locos? I have in mind the "Annie"

I've yet to buy any Piko G loco's or wagons. Do they use the same type of plastic and paint as LGB?

LGB uses "Luran S" plastic. As far as I know, PIKO doesn't.

They look very similar to me. LGB plastic may be a bit stronger, and their paint is probably better UV resistent. But I don't 'feel' a big difference in quality.
