u mean this one from 2 JAGS?...YES IT WAS 60 pounds!! cheap so are they good runner? aslo why r they better than 2 motors switcher pete?
hw many volts can it ran this piko??

Hi Steve, the motor is happy at about twelve to eighteen volts, it dont like high speeds either so good for switching, it does not like dirty track not even with the skates fitted, two of my switchers wheels slip with a load but this will trundle on,

yes its the one from two jags.

I've decided against it for now, they obviously come up quite often!
Definately one for the future though!

Two Jags (John Prescott) has his own website GSCALEONLINE - he's a genuine guy and a reliable trader :thumbup::thumbup:

I just used matt black model paint gave it two quick coats, the bits that rub will show the silver plastic through so look good to me,

I couldn't work out why the loco looked 'different' until I read above that you'd cut it down - a very neat and effective job.

I have a BR80 in standard form and can agree about it being a good hauler and a bargain even at the 'full' price.

Its a pretty good model to start with and smooth running, ifyou look at the steps and the pilot it gives away what I chopped off, it is now lower than a standard box car, I also removed all the fake valvegear as it looks more real without it,

I am curious about the scale of this locomotive. I have read that the PIKO US outline boxcars and other American rolling stock is 1:32. It is already a small loco it appears and if it is 1:32 then it would look even smaller when compared with 1:29. However, it has been compared with its sister the BR 80 loco so I may well be 1:27 or 1:24. Hopefully someone who owns one can say.

When I got this it looked too euro to me, it was higher than the aristo boxcars I had, it had a good look about it tho' and decided it looked like a loco I was keen about the driver supplied is oversized for 1/29 but I liked the look of it so he stayed, with the front steps removed and lowered it almost passes for a docksider but he cylinders give it away. not yet got down to changing them yey,

Many thanks gentlemen for your comments. I may see one at the Exeter Show and get a better idea of the loco. ;)

Many thanks for your kind offer Pete. I have since decided that this loco is not for my pike. Look forward to a meeting at Exeter. I do think we chatted, incognito, last year. ;)
