Piko37303 Elbe Elster Railbus Stops Running......

After running the above railbus several times, it suddenly stopped dead and wont run again. Sent back to the dealer and on return it worked fine for a wee while then died again. Dealer said they only cleaned wheels (and I can return again), but I thoroughly cleaned wheels and my track and it still wont go. Anyone any ideas before I return it?

I suspect one of the cables [ see the picture of a PIKO Taurus http://swl4.com/image/PIKO-37420_E-...E-Loc_RTS_Tarus_wiring-ft-motor-block_800.jpg ] to the motorblock has come off.

These wires are connected to the motorblock pins [ shown on this picture of a BR80: http://www.trainweb.org/SaTR/diary/piko 060 top.JPG ] but they come off easily. Happens a lot with PIKO models.

Yes, that is my guess, too. I always replace the Piko wires with (insulated) LGB ones - stops the hassle for good.
