Check out the pix on Bachmann's Facebook page. It appears that the loco will have a LOT of improvements

Some good photos including the drive with the bottom cover gone. Now, this might be open for debate, but look and see what appears to be (maybe) BRASS gears (but it maybe the lighting, but they are the same "tone" as the bearings). Trigger/cam for sound too.

It appears to be a bit larger and better proportioned (see the shots with the old version). The wheels/frame details are nice also.

Certainly looks like quite substantial brass gearing.

I would think that the bottom plate has been removed to show the drive train. The six empty holes around the bottom suggest that the plate would be secured there. This is further supported by the fact that there appears to be nothing securing the wheel bearings, the bottom plate would do so.

Also note the eccentrics for driving the motion to the steam chests.

Yes, they did that to show the drive for the pix.

Cheers Spule black with red windows and white pinstripes sounds nice

The only thing I am NOT seeing is an easy way to convert to LGB Hook and Loop. It appears that the bachmann knuckle couplers drop into link and pin pockets....maybe the Lyn version will be different?

....or.....

It would be nice if we got all the "kit" that comes with the Bachmann On30/Liliput H0e locos?

i think ill need one -its beautiful-
and if it runs nicely -wow
