Purrey steam tram

I will continue with the original thread as it was the inspiration to my model being started.

So far I have decided:
  • The boiler with not be of a water tube type.
  • Boiler will be spirit gas fired.
  • Per the prototype the rear 3 seats will be water tanks.
  • The front seat will be the spirit fuel tank.
  • Rear axle with have an axle feed pump.
  • With the exception of the boiler, the whole model will be built using brass and wood.
That's where I've got to so far, I am seriously tempted to splash out and get the main frames laser cut, any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated.

Spent 2 hours Tuesday night sat in front of the computer getting drawn further and further in to the world of Purrey steam trams.

To get me started I am tempted to build this version used in the construction works and before receiving its passenger carriage body.
