Hi All,
Just bought some R E A (Railway Express Agency) Rolling stock (made in Korea).
Must be honest I thought the logo was Arisocraft. Does anyone have any knowledge re this make/brand. I'm pleased with them but as usual any feedback much appreciated.

Also on box Polk's Model Hobbie's Craft Inc.

They are Aristo-Craft they just changed the brand name in the 90s. It might have been something to do with ownership of the REA name as it was a national railway frieght agency in the mid 20th century in the USA.

yep thats correct,,, i have several of the stock cars and the same sentinel wagon

the newer models are the almost same but they ride lower and the roof walkways are better modeled

Some of the old REA wagons have less than perfect paint finish also the bogies are made from more fragile plastic than Aristo-Craft use now.

very true steve,,, the new models are well finished,,,, but a bit pricey,,,

Great input, new the knowledge was out there. Must say these units are as new and they look the part. Paid just under £20 each, thought that wasn't a bad price.

no thats very acceptable,,, they look in good nic,, decent secondhand seem to range from 30 to 50 so good find,,,,
